mking,

thanks that helps alot....I'm definately on the right track....I intially referenced AIFF in Dr.John Watkinson's "The Art of Digital Audio"(referenced in the MacRumorsBlog), which was given to me by a friend...I'm actually in an independant study program currently for sound engineering, these connections make all the difference for knowing that I'm on the right track...seems like I'm right on...thanks a bunch!

Hi Tiffany,

I'm converting all to Apple Lossless, but I think AIFF might actually be a better choice. Here's some detail on the discussion:

Hi Caroline,

Good question. I'm going to put them in storage, just in case I need a backup in the future. Although I think the value of CDs is declining rapidly, and it might make more sense to sell now than later...

Thanks for the post.

i've been a satisfied user of the squeezebox for over two years, though i mostly use it for listening to internet radio.

i'd love to see an iphone app that works like the squeezebox controller - seems like a natural
